Delroy Wilson
A great veteran of the Jamaican vocal scene, Delroy Wilson performed and recorded since he was 11 years old. His song "Better Must Come" became the theme song for Michael Manley during the 1972 election for Jamaica's prime minister. Wilson recorded for Studio One, CCAS, Empire, BP, Pioneer, Top Rank and Vista among others. He had a vibrant, extremely soulful sound and could also easily handle roots material.

Hortense Ellis
Hortense Ellis Died on Thursday 19th October 2000 at Kingston Public Hospital. She was suffering from a stomach ailment and had to be re-hospitalised after being released. The Mother of 14 children. She was the sister of rock steady star Alton Ellis with whom she recorded a number of collaborations in early years.
